Reviewers' Comments:
I don't think that John Coriolan will be upset if I characterize this priceless
memento of the 1970's,
The Intimate Journal of Sir Noley The Dauntless: 1973 - 1974,
as a diary of a size queen (or quean).
Perhaps the e-book "cover" will also suggest that. Starting with his boyhood
at the 'ole swimming hole'
when he first became aware that not all men were created equal, his future
was determined.
Speaking as a collaborator in such endeavors, I much appreciate his point
of view and envy him
some of the actions he describes. He also seems to have the real low-down
on some noted stage
and screen actors and other just plain studs of the time, mostly in New York
(and Fire Island, of course).
It all rings true, also, because I guess it is (more or less). One thing's
for sure, it sure is entertaining,
and it whets your appetite for more (after you get through with whatever
it is you may be doing).
Coriolan, who went to school with Tennessee Williams and worked with many
of the other well-knowns
of the day, got to know those people "intimately" (when they had the size
to qualify). Some of them
are still around.
